Day 5 Civitavecchia

Today we woke up to the ship shuddering into the port of Civitavecchia, looking out the window didn’t fill us with excitement as the port is an industrial port that requires a shirt bus trip to leave the port so today like yesterday we will be staying onboard and definitely staying in Yacht club. We thought that the restaurant stayed open till 9.30 but when we git there just after 9 it was closed so we walked up to the pool deck where they serve breakfast until 11.30. The weather today is slightly overcast so really comfortable, some of the others were in the gym so me Lorna, Mum and Dad had breakfast. We eventually all met up on the pool deck and got ourselves settled for a lazy day. Lorna and Kelly went down to the excursions desk to ask about a e-bike tour for tomorrow in Scicily but came back saying they didn’t have e-bikes on this ship, so Lorna researched a few local companies and sent some requests for a private tour for 6 of us. As its Sunday we were concerned that they might be closed but we got 2 responses that can accommodate us at 11am tomorrow. It was lunchtime and the clouds were now a little thicker but we hoped it would burn off or at least not rain. We got lunch poolside and had a few drinks and relaxed. But unfortunately as the time went by it got colder and darker and eventually it started to rain so we persivered it for afternoon tea and then headed back to the rooms for a warm up and plenty of time to get ready for tonights white night and our specialty restaurant in the Tepanyaki restaurant for 8.30pm but first we met at the Yacht club bar for ore drinks at 7pm. We had a few drinks and talked about the high probability of rain tomorrow in Paloma and if we should continue with out e-bike tour, the weather has not been great to be fair but we were still having a great time. Our butler escorted us into gen pop and to the Tepanyaki restaurant where we had a whole table to ourselves omg the amount of food ended up having wad obscene definitely the most food we have had so far. The chef Vicram was very good and kept us entertained while we tried our best to finish all the food that was put in front if us. We all attempted to catch a bit of egg thrown to us most of us caught it and thankfully as we were all wearing white no disasters. After the feast Ttacy was not feeling great so went back to her room and Mum and Dad also retired, the rest of us walked around watched a bit of the party in the atrium and then we thought we would check out the disco night in the Moulin Rouge, it was very busy especially at the bar but Warren had his Yacht clube bracelet on so we got served straight away which pissed off so many people we didn’t stay long the music was a bit shit so we walked back to our sanctuary and off to bed at about 12:45pm. We arranged to meet just after 10am tomorrow to decide what to do re the bike trip.
